Principle dentist Richard qualified in Newcastle in 1988. Originally from Bristol, he lives in the Lake District and still loves it even after 35 years. Married with 4 children, Richard's interests include mountaineering, mountain biking and anything in the outdoors. Richard enjoys working with anxious and phobic patients and his other main interests are Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is an experienced Invisalign provider and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

David joined the team at York Place Dental in 2018. Originally from Keswick, he moved to Carlisle and then on to Sheffield to study Dentistry. He qualified in 2010 and returned to Cumbria. Married with three children, David's interests include playing electric and acoustic guitar, woodwork and films, especially anything from the Marvel universe! He teaches martial arts and has a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. David's professional interests are in complex and cosmetic dentistry, with a particular interest in root canal treatments. He has a Masters Degree in Endodontics.

Originally from Edinburgh, Ryan moved across the border to study dentistry at Newcastle before settling in Cumbria. He was welcomed into the York Place dental team in 2021. He works alongside the team to help patients reach their dental goals. Ryan’s areas of interest include cosmetic dentistry and advanced full mouth restorative dentistry, with a patient centred approach. Ryan was a Finalist in the 2021 Scottish Dental Awards for Best Smile Makeover and is currently studying for an affiliation exam with The Royal college of Surgeons, Glasgow. Outside of work he loves to spend his spare time in the outdoors either cycling or hiking in the lakes, and he enjoys skiing.
